5 Spring Dresses for a French Wardrobe

It’s always good to have a small but reliable collection of spring dresses on hand once the weather starts to warm up. I am a big fan of dresses as they are so easy to just throw on and get on with your day in the morning.

I am an American living in Paris and I absolutely love the Parisian aesthetic and way of dressing. If you’re also into French girl spring style, then this post will help you build your French girl spring wardrobe!

Spring Dresses

Here are my favorite French-style spring dresses. I see these styles on the streets of Paris just about every day in the spring! At least one of these dresses is necessary to complete your French girl spring wardrobe this year.

Midi Dresses

The midi-length dress is the ideal spring dress for keeping warm. This style has become super popular in France thanks to brands like Rouje which have reinterpreted this vintage design. You can easily throw a cardigan over it in case it gets chilly.

Knitted Dress

A knitted sweater dress is a cozy way to wrap your body in wool and stay warm during the early spring days. These dresses are typically long-sleeve and midi length. Sandro makes lovely knitted dresses or you could go with a full-on sweater dress like this Lanvin one.

Floral Print Dress

I can hear Miranda Priestly saying “groundbreaking” in the background, but it’s true that floral prints are great for spring!

Wrap Dress

Wrap dresses are flattering on just about every body type!

White Linen Dress

White linen is one of my favorite fabrics for the spring and summer seasons. Light, airy, and naturally breathable, linen is the perfect material for spring dresses.
